Who We Are
Our History
At the beginning, UPA Bahasa was called Lembaga Bahasa Universitas Siliwangi, or LBUS. LBUS was built firstly in 1992 by one of the English lecturers, Mrs. Din. She initiated Lembaga Bahasa in Universitas Siliwangi to facilitate academicians in Siliwangi University to learn English.
There are some programs that were done in LBUS, those are Teacher Development Workshop, English for Professionals, Creative Teaching and World English. The World English program was the special program of English course (General English) that was aimed to everyone whether inside or outside Siliwangi University.
Especially in General English program (GE), in 2004, LBUS got the help from native speaker and some lecturers from English Education Department as teachers. The facilities owned by LBUS were 1 staff room and 1 classroom.
